Propelled by a blazing line-up of 20 titles, French international sales agent Charades is getting ready and full of ambition for its double appointment at the 74th Cannes Film Festival’s Marché du Film (running 6 - 17 July); namely the Pre-Cannes Screenings (online from 12 to 25 June) and the festival’s physical market (running 6 – 15 July).

). Recently shot and starring Valérie Bonneton, Camille Chamoux, Claire Nadeau, Guilaine Londez, Denmark’s Sidse Babett Knudsen, and François Morel and Louise Malek in its cast, the film revolves around four nuns and their novice who live in a small convent in the French countryside. They’re an unruly yet affectionate bunch who see miracles everywhere and know the Bible like the back of their hand. Determined to save the run-down retirement home in their village, they decide to take part in a bike race. The group are far from athletic, but God works in mysterious ways... Produced by Les Films sur Mesure, co-produced by M6 Films and pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film will be distributed in France via Le Pacte.
