A first feature film arousing curiosity at Un Certain Regard and three films by established filmmakers to be showcased in Directors' Fortnight: the international sales department (headed by Alice Lesort) of Les Films du Losange (bought last summer by Charles Gillibert and Alexis Dantec) intends to do good business at the Marché du Film (17-25 May) of the 75th Cannes Film Festival.

Starring Isabelle Carré, Théodore Pellerin and Ursina Lardi, his new film focuses on Nathalie Adler, who is on a mission for the European Union in Sicily and is in charge of organising the next visit of Macron and Merkel to a migrant camp: a presence with a high symbolic value, to show that everything is under control. But who can still believe in this European family on the verge of a nervous breakdown? Probably not Albert, Nathalie's son, an activist working for an NGO, who turns up without warning. And he no longer believes in his mother either... A feature film produced by the Swiss company Bandita Films with Les Films du Losange.

Also in the line-up is A Short Story by Chinese prodigy Bi Gan, which will take part in the Cannes short film competition, and Jean Eustache's The Mother and the Whore will open the Cannes Classics programme with the world premiere of its re-release on 8 June (Les Films du Losange is selling a total of five of the director's features and five shorts, all of which will be restored in 4K by the end of the year).

Finally, at the Marché du Film, new images for the animated feature currently in post-production Titina [+leggi anche:
