, which is steered by the award-winning Irish studio Cartoon Saloon. Based upon Ruth Stiles Gannett’s book of the same name, the film revolves around Elmer who is struggling to cope after a move to the city with his mother and who runs away in search of Wild Island and a young dragon who waits only to be rescued. . The story of their latest work is as follows: a New York music journalist sets out to find the truth behind the tragic disappearance of young Brazilian piano virtuoso Tenorio Jr. Celebrating the world-renowned Latin music movement Bossa Nova, the film captures a fleeting period of creative freedom at a turning point in Latin American history in the 1960s and 1970s, just before the continent was engulfed by totalitarian regimes.

Also worth a mention is Nina and the Tales of the Hedgehog by French helmers Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli (a duo who turned heads with Une vie de chat [+leggi anche:

), in which the world of 10-year-old Nina has been in turmoil since her father lost his job. The factory he worked in closed, despite weeks of strikes, because the manager had tampered with the accounts, bringing about bankruptcy. But rumour has it that a nest-egg remains hidden somewhere in the factory.
