Written by Baptiste Debraux together with Armel Gourvennec, the film is set in Rochebrune, which is on the verge of chaos. Johnny, the leader of the protests that have been shaking this small town in the Ardennes for months, has disappeared after robbing a van. When Paul Ligre hears the news, he immediately leaves Paris to return to his hometown, a place he had severed all contact with, in order to find his childhood best friend before the police do. However, the investigation led by Anna Radoszewski inevitably leads her towards the secret that unites Paul and Johnny… 

Produced by Marc Bordure for Agat Films & Cie, Chasing Johnny was pre-bought by Canal+ and Ciné+ and benefits from the support of the Grand Est region. The 31 days of filming will take place from 2 November to 14 December in the Ardennes, with Fabien Benzaquen as director of photography. The film will be distributed in France by Tandem.
