Roehler, Nebou and Claudel in TF1 International line-up

French seller TF1 International (in partnership with UGC) has an enticing line-up and will be hoping for success at the European Film Market at the 60th Berlinale (February 11-21) with its two titles in official selection: German director Oskar Roehler’s Jew Suss, Rise and Fall [+see also:

The team headed by Nicolas Eschbach will also start sales for Silence d’Amour (“Silence of Love”), the new project by Philippe Claudel (I’ve Loved You So Long [+see also:
trailer

). Starring Italian actor Stefano Accorsi and produced by UGC YM, the film will start shooting in May.

It will centre on an Italian music teacher who lives in Strasbourg with his brother and 15-year-old daughter. Having never got over the death of his wife during the birth of their daughter, he is overprotective towards the latter, who is falling in love for the first time. The young girl decides to help her father rediscover faith in love.

New titles on the line-up also include Pierre-Henry Salfati’s documentary Gainsbourg par Gainsbourg (“Gainsbourg by Gainsbourg”); Michel Leclerc’s Le Nom des Gens (“People’s Names”, see news); and Fabrice Gobert’s Love Like Blood (see news).

Among the films in post-production are Alain Corneau’s Crime d’Amour (“Crime of Love”, whose promo-reel will be shown - see news); Joann Sfar and Antoine Delesvaux’s animated feature The Rabbi’s Cat; Jacques Malaterre’s Ao: The Last Neanderthal (see news); Alexandre Charlot and Franck Magnier’s Imogène (see news); Romain GavrasThe Lords (see news); Yan Gozlan’s Captifs (“Captives”); and Fabrice Genestal’s Trader Games (see news).

Among the market screenings, TF1 International will show world premieres of Anne Le Ny’s My Father’s Guests (see news); Yasmine Reza’s Chicas (see news); and Alfred Lot’s A Spot of Bother (see news).
