In pre-production, Ozon’s thirteenth feature Dans La Maison (“In the House”) is expected to start shooting in the summer with a cast including Juliette Binoche, Fabrice Luchini and Emmanuelle Seigner. The storyline is still under wraps; the director has just revealed that the plot will centre on a male or female teacher and their pupils.

Wild Bunch will also pre-sell Italian director Sergio Castellito’s Twice Born (see news), starring Spanish actress Penélope Cruz and US thesp Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild). Adapted from Margaret Mazzantini’s homonymous novel, the film will centre on Gemma who leaves her comfortable life in Rome to go to Sarajevo with her son Pietro for a ceremony in memory of the city’s siege.

The commemoration includes photographs of Pietro’s father, who died 16 years ago in Sarajevo while Gemma managed to escape. Gemma is confronted with her past and with present revelations. In pre-production, the film is financed by Italy’s Picomedia, For Alien Produzioni and Medusa Film with Spain’s Telecinco and Mod Producciones, and Prudukcija Film.
