53 European films slated for release before end of 2006 (1 – UK & Germany)

Non-domestic European films look set to enjoy a successful last quarter of 2006 in France, with the planned release of 53 European titles in theatres from August 23 through December 27, compared to only 26 features for the same period in 2005.

Heading the list are 11 UK productions, with Ken Loach’s Palme d’Or-winning The Wind That Shakes the Barley [+see also:
