Verhlust & Bourlon relaunch the 3K’s

by

Produced and distributed on 27 prints by Studio 100, the second adventure film of the "three K’s" (Karen, Kathleen and Kristel – the names of the three actresses, Karen Damen, Kristel Verbeke e Kathleen Aerts) is without a doubt the release of the week.

Written by Gert Verhulst and Hans Bourlon and directed by Indra Siera, K3 en het ijsprinsesje (lit. "The 3K’s and the Princess”) is the story of three friends who try and guard a small, capricious princess in an enchanted kingdom.

Both Verhulst and Danny Verbiest worked in television: in 1989 they created children’s show "Samson en Gert", which was enormously successful. With Bourlon, in 1996 they created Studio 100 and even more success ensued: cartoon characters (Bumba, Big&Betsy, Piet Piraat; Wizzy & Woopy), children’s book, musicals (Pinocchio, Snow White…) and television and theatrical films (Les aventures de Plot…). Their winning formula could be confirmed yet again given that the first instalment of the 3K’s (K3 en het Magische Medaillon) garnered 450,000 admissions.
