The film, scripted by the director, follows Robert Pelage (Merad), a man obsessed with actresses who works as a nighttime cleaner at a prestigious casting agency. By looking up the addresses, schedules and private numbers of celebrities, he manages to read screenplays, steal invitations to premieres, change appointments and give casting directions.

Three actresses in particular catch his eye: Solange Duvivier (Deneuve), a top French film star, whose secretary Robert follows to the actress’ home every day; the sublime Isabelle Séréna (Béart), whose lovers the possessive fan tries to get rid of; and the promising Violette Duval (Bernier).

Abandoned by his wife and his daughter, Robert lives for his idols and is elated when he succeeds in hiring the three for the same shoot. But when they find out they all have the same problem, the three women join forces and fight back.

Produced by Christophe Rossignon for Nord-Ouest Production, Mes stars et moi was co-produced by M6 Films and pre-sold to Canal +.

A nine-week shoot is scheduled in and around Paris. The film will be released in France in the second half of 2008 through Studio Canal, who is also handling international sales.
