Written by Corsini, Partir tells the story of a woman (Scott Thomas) who falls in love with a Spanish worker (Lopez) and is prepared to leave her husband (Attal) and children in order to follow him.

Lopez – who previously worked with Corsini on The New Eve – this year shot Ricky with François Ozon. Attal has just finished shooting Cédric Khan’s Regrets and in the autumn will start work on Lucas Belvaux’s Rapt !. Scott Thomas – who stars in Jérôme Salle’s Largo Winch (set for release on December 17) – recently shot UK production Easy Virtue by Stephan Elliott.

Produced by Pyramide, Partir has a budget of €4.2m. This includes pre-sales from Canal + and Ciné Cinéma, as well as backing from Sofica Cofinova and the Languedoc-Roussillon region.

There will be six weeks of filming in Nîmes and around ten days in Catalonia. Pyramide – who will release the title domestically in the second half of 2009 – are also handling international sales.
