Apaches Entertainment is launched

Producers Enrique López Lavigne and Belén Atienza have joined forces to create Apaches Entertainment, which is destined to become a reference in Spanish and European film production, according to Variety.

Apaches is currently developing projects with some of the most influential names in Spanish film, particularly in the genre field. These include Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, Juan Antonio Bayona, Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes), Eduardo Chapero Jackson (whose short Lightborne won a European Film Award this year) and Sergio Sánchez (screenwriter on The Orphanage).

According to López Lavigne, Apaches’ first three productions will be announced at the forthcoming Cannes Film Festival.
