François Cluzet (photo) plays a security van driver who steals €11.6m, in a story inspired by a real event in 2009 when cash courier Toni Musulin hid his armoured van before escaping to Monaco. He was condemned to five years in prison, but a part of the money (€2.5m) was never found. The film is also to feature Belgian actor Bouli Lanners, Corinne Masiero (Louise Wimmer [+see also:

), the Colombian actress living in Spain Juana Acosta, Johan Libereau, Mireille Franchino, Stefan Wojtowicz, and Eric Bernard.

The screenplay was adapted from the book Tony 11,6 , Histoire du convoyeur by journalist Alice Géraud-Arfi, but bends the truth slightly, as the film’s main character falls in love with a mountain guide living in Italy, for example.

11.6 is produced by Philippe Godeau for Pan-Européenne, and shooting will continue for seven weeks in Lyon, before a week in Monaco for the film’s last shots. Wild Bunch will release the film in French cinemas.
