Written by the director, the screenplay focuses on Freddy, whose epileptic fits start again when his mother dies. He hadn't had any since childhood. His mother, who was a healer, transmitted her gift to him. But Freddy does not want to hear about it, he is in complete denial, wallowing in his own misery. Until a fatal accident occurs that enables him to let go of everything and accept his gift...

Produced by Paulo Branco for Alfama Films (which will also handle distribution on French screens), the filming of My Soul Healed By You will last 30 days and take place in Fréjus until April 27th, with Yves Angelo as director of photography. Kinology will carry the international sales.

Alfama Films, also currently handling the movie Cadences obstinées by Fanny Ardant (article), now in post-production, announced three other projects in Berlin: Body Art (based on The Body Artist by Don DeLillo) directed by Luca Guadagnino (with David Cronenberg, Isabelle Huppert and Denis Lavant), the Franco-Austrian feature film The Giacomo Variations by Michael Sturminger (starring John Malkovitch) and La Forêt de quinconcesby Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet.
