(in competition in 2009 at the Critics’ Week in Cannes) and By the Fire (presented in the New Directors section in San Sebastian in 2011). Written by the director, the screenplay of To Kill a Man focuses on Jorge, a hard-working man, earning just about enough to cover his family’s basic needs and who is attacked by Kalule, a neighbourhood thug. Jorge’s son will confront Kalule who shoots him. Despite the death of the young boy, Kalule only receives a minimum sentence and the tension escalates... 

To Kill a Man, which will have its world premiere at Sundance, is produced by Chilean company El Remanso Cine. The film notably received post-production backing as part of the world cinema fund of the CNC. Arizone will handle the French distribution towards the end of August 2014. International sales are handled by Spanish outfit Film Factory.
