Written by the director, the script centres on five bestfriends: Nestor (Hanrot), Vadim (Gotesman), Timothée (Civil), Samuel (Niney) and Julia (Bancilhon), who for 15 years have dreamt of living together. Today, their dream becomes a reality. They decide to move in to a charming apartment in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. However, having agreed to pay half of the rent, when Samuel suddenly finds himself flat broke, he sees no other option but to turn to a life of crime. Feeling trapped by a harsh reality, he turns to the only family he has left: his mates. Out of loyalty or guilt, they are forced to improvise to come to their close friend’sassistance. Setting off on an unexpected adventure, they find themselves faced with “sibling”rivalries, outlandish situations and dubious encounters, but where friendship always prevails.

Produced by François Kraus and Denis Pineau-Valencienne for Les Films du Kiosque, Five is co-produced by France 2 CinémaCinéfrance 1888 and StudioCanal. Pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, this feature film is also backed by Sofica Indéfilms.
