The screenplay, written by Mitre and Mariano Llinás, was selected by the Cinéfondation Atelier at the latest Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Arte International Award for Best Screenplay in Development (read more). The movie portrays the case of Hernán Blanco, the president of Argentina (played by the much sought-after Darín). In the middle of a summit of Latin American dignitaries in Chile, he must wrestle with his own personal problems and ghosts, and has to make two decisions that could change the entire course of his political career and his family life.

The shoot for this film revolving around political intrigue will continue until November on sets in Bariloche, Santiago (Chile) and the Andes. The production is being staged by La Unión de los Ríos (founded by Mitre himself) and K&S Films (Argentina), Mod Producciones (Spain) and Maneki Films (France), in conjunction with Telefé and Movistar Plus+.
