Produced by Metro Films, this is the debut narrative feature by the award-winning documentary filmmaker. It will be released in Polish theatres on August 5.

Co-produced by France via Kuiv Productions (Mark Edwards) and Le Fresnoy, the film traces the misadventures of a miner, who is a member of Solidarity under Communism. But after the fall of the regime, he is accused of having collaborated with the secret police.

The Mole won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Gdynia Polish Film Festival in June and is expected to be shown soon at international festivals.

Among the films on its slate, Wide Management is also selling two titles selected in competition at the upcoming Locarno International Film Festival: Anca Damian’s Romanian/Polish co-production Crulic - The Path to Beyond (an animated documentary retracing the life of Crulic, a Romanian man who died in prison at the age of 33 after a hunger strike); and Nadav Lapid’s Israeli title Policeman.
