The European Film Awards 2002 were presented by the European Film Academy in the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome.
The video reports the red carpet arrivals of stars and guests who attended the EFA ceremony and presents the winners who were interviewed during the press conference.
The winners in the interview talk about the different aspects of European cinema. Spanish actress Victoria Abril, winner of the Best European Achievement in World Cinema, explains how since the beginning of her carrier she has always worked for productions around Europe. , speaks about the problems saying that "Europe is not united by its economy but rather by its culture, its diversity and culture".
During the ceremony screenwriter Tonino Guerra received the European Film Academy Lifetime Achievement Award 2002.
