Noi, the Albino out in London

Dagur Kári's award winning film Noi, the Albino will try to conquer UK audiences tomorrow as Artificial Eye will release it on 6 prints, three in the UK capital and three outside.
The film was first shown at the last Edinburgh Film Festival-attended by the director-then at the recent London Film Festival where the screenings were sold out on both occasions. Tomorrow, the Icelandic/German/UK/Danish co-production will have to compete with five other European titles including the Italian film Benzina, the French/Senegalese co-production L'Afrance, the Luxembourg/UK co-production Octane, the Belgian/French film Octane as well as the UK film The Mother.

Robert Beeson from Artificial Eye is still confident that the film will find its audience and plans to increase its print run according to its opening weekend. "The film is completely review-led and we have had excellent reviews in the press", he told Cineuropa. The film for instance is Number 2 on Time Out's Critics choice of the week and the magazine's film critic Geoff Andrew said it had "impressive funny touches and was very eye catching".
