Optimum, Metrodome get UKFC P&A boost
Optimum Releasing and Metrodome Distribution are the biggest beneficiaries in the latest round of funding announced by the UK Film Council’s Prints and Advertising Fund.
Optimum received £210,000 for Armando Iannucci’s In the Loop [+see also:

film profile], enabling the releases to double from 50 screens each to a 100.
Metrodome received £156,000 for Eran Creevy’s Shifty [+see also:

film profile] and £250,000 for Kari Skogland’s Fifty Dead Men Walking [+see also:

film profile], enabling wider releases from 25-50 and from 50-100 screens respectively. Metrodome also received £5000 towards Michael Winterbottom’s Genova [+see also:

£100,000 was awarded to Dogwoof for Franny Armstrong’s The Age of Stupid, which helped with the live satellite transmission of the film’s premiere and Q&A session in London to more than 60 cinemas across the UK. Dogwoof also received £4,440 for Dorris Dörrie’s Cherry Blossoms [+see also:
