Just an Ordinary Jew at "Cinéma Tout Ecran" in Geneva

A total of seven German films and co-productions as well as a German TV series will be shown at the 12th Cinéma Tout Ecran International Film & Television Festival, which is being held in Geneva from October 30-November 5.

Oliver Hirschbiegel will take part in the festival's Official Competition with his film Just an Ordinary Jew.

Living with Hannah by Erica von Moeller and the Swiss-German co-production Alles bleibt anders by Guezin Kar can be seen in the festival's second competitive section, the Regards d’Aujourd’hui .

In addition, the festival will be presenting Daniel Lang's Dog and Dennis Todorovic's Amor Fati (Germany/Hungary) in the section entitled International Selection of Short Films.

The television series Turkish For Beginners by Edzard Onneken and Olivier Schmitz will be shown in the section dedicated to International Series Collections and Long Dramas.

The short film Kristall by Christoph Girardet and Matthias Mueller, which won a prize at this year's Cannes Film Festival, will be shown as part of the Semaine International de la Critique de Cannes.

Moreover, Detlev Buck's Tough Enough [+see also:

will have its Swiss avant-premiere at the festival.

Producer Max Wiedemann (Wiedemann & Berg) has been named as one of the members of the festival's International Jury.

The Cinéma Tout Ecran International Film & Television Festival has set itself the goal of building a bridge between the worlds of cinema and television and showing top quality films produced by or for television on the cinema screen.

This year will be the sixth time that the Geneva Select Market (October 30-November 5) will be staged in conjunction with the festival. This event has attracted increasing interest from TV buyers from Switzerland as well as from abroad.
