NonStop stocks up in Toronto

The pan-Nordic Distribution company NonStop Entertainment has come back triumphantly from Toronto with four titles in its basket, including the Golden Lion winner The Wrestler, acquired from Wild Bunch for Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

Darren Aronofsky’s film, carried by an outstanding performance from Mickey Rourke, was one of the hottest titles at the Toronto International Film Festival, where Fox Searchlight sealed US distribution rights.

"We are very proud to bring home one of this year's strongest films," says Ignas Scheynius, CEO of NonStop. "For the second year in a row, NonStop Entertainment takes both the Golden Lion and the Palme d'Or winner to Scandinavia".

, starring Emmanuelle Béart, Rufus Sewell and Julie Dreyfus, and Afterwards starring John Malkovich and Evangeline Lilly. The drama Downloading Nancy from Swedish director Johan Renck starring Maria Bello and Jason Patric, was acquired for Scandinavia and the Baltic countries.
